Verso IPL Photofacial – improve skin tone and repair skin damage

IPL is the latest in modern dermatology, making gentle skin rejuvenation easier than ever by transforming stressed, blotchy skin into a radiant complexion. This treatment, more commonly known as photorejuvenation or photofacial, is a non-invasive procedure that uses quick and powerful flashes of light to improve skin conditions such as brown and red spots, large pores, facial veins, surface imperfections, and overall skin tone.

Our IPL treatment is ideal for targeting any part of your face, neck, upper chest area, and hands. What about larger areas of facial redness? IPL treatments can be very effective for the reduction of redness and flushing caused by Rosacea, but none of the laser or light based devices will “cure” you of this chronic condition and these symptoms may return over time.

During the procedure which normally takes about 20-30 minutes; our expert medical aesthetician uses a hand-held device to deliver intense pulses of light that penetrate deep into the skin to heat the damaged cells, creating a therapeutic effect. When the pulse of light is delivered, you may experience a mild pinching or warming sensation. Your medical professional will use a cooling gel prior to the light therapy in order to ease any slight discomfort.

Typically, patients see results within 2 or 3 treatments. Additional treatments may be recommended depending on the severity of the skin damage. Immediately following the treatment, brown spots will start to darken, your skin may appear slightly red, and mild swelling may occur. If you find yourself freaking out and start to think that this intense light therapy was a bad idea, don’t worry: the redness only last a few hours or at most a day or two. In the meantime, you can always cover up with the wonder that is “make-up” if going out in public, or you can just catch up on some Netflix shows and order in!

Within 1 to 3 weeks, the darkened spots will flake off and fade, the redness will decrease, and your overall complexion will have permanently changed for the better!

Now you can flaunt that beautiful face anywhere you go!

BOTOX® Cosmetic is the trade name for a purified protein that is used as a simple, non-surgical procedure in both men and woman of various ages. Most commonly we hear of BOTOX® Cosmetic as a wrinkle treatment, when it has actually been used for the effective treatment of many medical conditions for over 25 years. BOTOX® Cosmetic has become the most popular physician-administered cosmetic treatment in North America with an estimated 3 million treatments performed annually. In addition, it has received a 97% satisfaction rating among users.

Dr. Jack Kolenda,an Otolaryngologist practicing in Facial Plastic Surgery,  has this advice:

“People have to realize that standards for private medical facilities vary from country to country. Canadian standards are much higher than other parts of the world. Cosmetic surgery done abroad in most cases can go well. However, complications can occur with any surgical procedure. You have to be prepared for that possibility and have someone manage the complications. In general, the recommendation is for patients to see their own surgeons when complications do occur.”
