Thinking of IPL?
3 Rules You Must Know
All cosmetic treatments are performed by licensed medical aestheticians and registered nurses.
IPL (Intense Pulse Light) treatment, also known as “Photo Rejuvenation/Photo Facial”, can clean up your mottled complexion in no time… but how do you know you are going to the right place for this procedure?
Here are the ‘3 Rules of IPL’ from Veronica, a medical aesthetician and IPL expert at Verso Surgery Centre.
1. As the name says, this light is INTENSE!
Make sure your treatment is performed by a trained medical professional at a surgical facility who knows what they are doing.
What could happen if you don’t? At best, no noticeable improvements; at worst, burnt skin or severe complications resulting in possible permanent skin damage!
2. Beware of ads like this: IT’S THE MIRACLE CURE FOR ALL SKIN PROBLEMS! Wrinkle-Free Results! NO MORE ROSACEA!
If you find yourself drawn to these phrases when you are shopping around for IPL treatment, these are the places you want to AVOID! There is no cure for Rosacea, and there definitely is no “miracle” cure for all skin problems.
This light therapy can drastically improve your overall skin tone and surface imperfections, but it all depends on the severity of the existing skin damage.
3. Nobody likes getting ripped off. Make sure you are not being pushed to purchase more treatments than necessary.
The average number of treatments required should be 3 sessions, 2 weeks apart.
To maintain your beautiful complexion and collagen growth, we recommend a touch-up treatment every 3-6 months. Each full-face treatment should cost between $300 and $500 depending onyour exact skin condition.
